Built to Last — Backed by IKUISTA
IKUISTA Warranty & Guarantee
Every IKUISTA bicycle is hand-assembled in Finland, with the same attention to detail at every stage of the build.
Each one comes with a manufacturer's warranty covering the frame and components against manufacturing defects.

Extended 10-Year Warranty (199€)
For riders who want the longest backing we offer, Motion & Beyond extends your cover to ten years and adds a few practical things for the years of riding in between. One payment of €199, when you buy your bike or within 60 days of delivery.
It includes everything in the registered 5-year warranty, plus:
- Frame and rigid fork covered against manufacturing and material faults for ten years from purchase.
- Bearings for the price of postage. When they wear out, we send a replacement set and you pay only the shipping — one set per bearing type every two years.
- Crash replacement at 30% off. We replace crash-damaged parts at 30 percent off retail price — the frame once during the ten years, other components once per year. The damaged part goes into our recycling program.
- Transfers to the next owner with a quick transfer registration and a few photos at handover, so the full cover stays with the bike.
Like all our warranties, Motion & Beyond adds to your statutory rights as a consumer and never limits them. Keeping your bike serviced and documented is a condition of cover. You can do the work yourself. [Read the full terms.]

Standard Warranty Coverage
All IKUISTA bicycles are covered against manufacturing and material defects for at least 2 years from delivery — longer in some countries, as your local statutory rights always apply in full.
This cover includes:
- The frame and fork, if proven to be defective due to material or manufacturing faults.
- Handlebars, seat posts, and stems manufactured or supplied by IKUISTA.
- Wheels, drivetrain components, and brakes, in cases where a defect is clearly due to a production or assembly issue. Third-party components also carry their own manufacturers' warranties.
Normal wear is not a defect: parts like chains, brake pads, tyres, and bar tape wear with use and are not covered, unless the wear results from a confirmed manufacturing fault.
During this period, any defective part will be repaired or replaced free of charge, provided the claim is submitted in accordance with the procedure described below.

Extended 5-Year Warranty
We reward riders who take care of their bikes the same way we do.
Register your bike's frame number on the IKUISTA Activation Page within 60 days of delivery, and your cover on the frame and rigid fork extends to five years from the original purchase date.
This registration:
- Confirms the authenticity of your product.
- Enables quicker warranty processing.
- Extends protection against manufacturing and material faults to five years from the original purchase date.
- Stays with the bike if you sell it. The remaining cover transfers to the second owner with a quick transfer registration and a few photos of the bike at handover, so a used IKUISTA is worth more.

What the Warranty Covers
Your IKUISTA warranty covers:
- Structural or material defects that impair the safety or usability of the frame or fork.
- Faults in components supplied by IKUISTA that result from a proven manufacturing error.
- Repair or replacement of defective parts with components of equal or greater value.
- The cost of the warranty work itself: carried out by us, by a service partner, or by a workshop agreed with us in advance.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear of components (e.g. chains, cassettes, brake pads, tires, cables, grips, bar tape). Bearings are wear parts too, but Motion & Beyond holders receive replacements for the price of postage, as described above.
- Damage caused by improper assembly, use, storage, or maintenance, to the extent the fault caused or contributed to the damage.
- Damage resulting from accidents, impacts, or neglect (including corrosion or water damage). Motion & Beyond holders can use crash replacement for accident damage, as described above.
- Modifications to the frame, and component changes that caused or contributed to the damage.
- Commercial use (e.g. rentals, courier services) unless specifically agreed.
- Cosmetic defects that do not affect functionality (e.g. scratches, paint chips).
- Third-party parts or accessories not originally installed or approved by IKUISTA, and damage they cause.

Warranty Claim Process
If you suspect a warranty issue, please follow these steps:
- Stop using the bike immediately if safety may be compromised.
- Contact us directly via our Help Center form, or through one of our service partners.
- Provide:
- Proof of purchase (receipt or invoice)
- Frame number (located under the bottom bracket)
- Videos of the defect
- A clear description of the issue
After that:
- Our service team will assess the claim and inform you of the next steps. We may ask for additional videos, or for the part or bike to be sent in for inspection.
- If the claim is approved, the defective component will be repaired or replaced free of charge, including the shipping — you never pay to have a valid warranty issue fixed.
- If inspection shows the issue is not covered — for example wear presented as a defect — we will tell you why, and you can choose whether to have the part repaired at your own cost or returned to you.

Warranty Transferability
SECOND OWNER WARRANTY
IKUISTA bikes are built to last and retain value. The remaining frame warranty transfers to a second owner, provided:
- The bike was registered by the first owner within 60 days of delivery.
- The new owner registers the transfer on the IKUISTA Activation Page within 30 days of the change of ownership, including a few photos of the bike at handover.
- The frame is in original paint, or a repaint approved by us in writing, and has not been structurally modified.
Motion & Beyond transfers the same way, so the full ten-year cover can stay with the bike through its owners.
This adds long-term value and confidence beyond the first owner — and it is why a used IKUISTA is worth more.

After the Warranty Period
Even after your warranty expires, we believe in long-term serviceability.
IKUISTA supports every bike we have made for as long as it lives: spare parts, repairs, and upgrades, as long as parts remain available. When a part is discontinued, we help you find a compatible alternative.
Our goal is to keep every IKUISTA on the road — and when a bike is truly finished, our [End of the Road] program makes sure it ends up recycled, not in a landfill.
Your ride deserves the same dedication we put into building it.
IKUISTA – Built to Last. Designed to Feel Alive.
Register your bike, ride with confidence, and enjoy every kilometer knowing IKUISTA has your back — for up to 5 years.
WARRANTY POLICY
This Warranty Policy explains the statutory and voluntary warranties applicable to IKUISTA products. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory rights under the consumer laws of your country of residence.
1. GENERAL WARRANTY COVERAGE
IKUISTA products are covered by the following:
- Your statutory rights under the consumer laws of your country of residence. These are at least 2 years from delivery under EU law, and longer in some countries. Nothing in this policy limits them.
- IKUISTA Frame Warranty, as described in Section 2.
- Extended 5-year Frame Warranty with registration, as described in Section 3.
- IKUISTA Motion & Beyond extended warranty, as described in Section 4.
- Manufacturer warranties for third-party components, as described in Section 5.
The voluntary warranties in this policy cover defects in materials and workmanship as described in each section. They do not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, improper maintenance, improper assembly, or unauthorised modifications.
2. IKUISTA FRAME WARRANTY
All IKUISTA frames and forks, both carbon and aluminium, are covered by a 24-month warranty from the date of delivery.
Covered defects
- Structural cracks
- Delamination (carbon) and weld or material failure (aluminium)
- Manufacturing or material defects
Exclusions
The frame warranty does not cover:
- Cosmetic wear, including scratches, paint chips, or UV fading
- Damage caused by impacts, crashes, or over-torque
- Corrosion or moisture intrusion resulting from misuse
- Damage caused by incompatible or incorrectly installed components
- Improper storage or transportation
- Any modifications, including sanding, repainting, drilling, or aftermarket inserts
3. EXTENDED FRAME WARRANTY (5 YEARS, WITH REGISTRATION)
Customers who register their bicycle on the IKUISTA Activation Page within 60 days of delivery are eligible for an extended 5-year warranty on the frame and fork.
The extended warranty:
- Covers manufacturing and material faults for up to 5 years from the original purchase date.
- Transfers to a second owner. The remaining cover stays with the bicycle when it is sold, provided the new owner registers the transfer on the IKUISTA Activation Page within 30 days of the change of ownership. Transfer registration requires photographs of the bicycle at the time of transfer, including the main frame junctions and dropouts, which document its condition at handover.
- Is valid only for frames in original paint, or repainting approved by IKUISTA in writing and recorded against the frame serial number.
Failure to register within 60 days voids eligibility for the extended warranty, but does not affect your statutory rights.
4. IKUISTA MOTION & BEYOND (EXTENDED 10-YEAR WARRANTY, €199)
Motion & Beyond is a voluntary paid warranty available for €199. It can be purchased together with the bicycle or within 60 days of delivery. After this window it is available only following a paid condition inspection by IKUISTA. It includes everything in the registered 5-year warranty, and adds the following.
10-year frame and fork warranty. Manufacturing and material faults on the frame and rigid fork are covered for 10 years from the original purchase date.
Bearing warranty, shipping only. For the duration of the warranty, IKUISTA supplies replacement headset, bottom bracket, and suspension pivot bearings, and the customer pays only the shipping cost. Replacement is limited to one set per bearing type per 24 months. More frequent replacement requires either a documented service log entry supporting the need or the return of the worn bearings. Bearings are shipped only to the registered owner against the frame serial number.
Crash replacement at 30%. If a part of the bicycle is damaged in a crash or accident, the customer may purchase a replacement for that part at 30% off the current recommended retail price. Crash replacement of the frame or fork may be used once during the warranty period. For other components, crash replacement may be used for one incident per 12 months. The damaged part must be returned to IKUISTA for inspection and enters the IKUISTA recycling program. Wear is not crash damage; IKUISTA's workshop assessment of the returned part is decisive.
Transferable. Motion & Beyond transfers to a second owner, provided the new owner registers the transfer on the IKUISTA Activation Page within 30 days of the change of ownership, including the condition photographs described in Section 3. Crash replacement covers incidents occurring after the transfer registration.
Conditions. Motion & Beyond requires the bicycle to be maintained and documented in accordance with Section 9. Crash replacement applies to accidental crash damage only and is subject to the exclusions in Section 4.1.
4.1 Crash Replacement Exclusions
Crash replacement does not apply to:
- Theft or loss
- Intentional damage
- Negligence or misuse
- Normal wear presented as crash damage
- Improper transport or storage
- Heat damage, including sauna use or storage in hot vehicles
- Unapproved modifications
- Commercial or rental use
5. COMPONENT WARRANTY (THIRD-PARTY MANUFACTURERS)
All non-IKUISTA components are covered by the original manufacturer's warranty terms.
Typical warranty durations (for reference only):
- Drivetrain components (Shimano / SRAM): approximately 2 years
- Wheels (e.g. SwissSide): approximately 2 years
- Brake systems: approximately 2 years
- Electronic components: approximately 2 years
- Cockpit components: approximately 2 years
Wear parts are not covered, including but not limited to chains, cassettes, chainrings, brake pads and rotors, bearings (headset, bottom bracket, hubs), tyres and tubes, grips, bar tape, saddle covers, and spokes unless a manufacturing defect is confirmed.
Bearings covered under Motion & Beyond (Section 4) are an exception to the above, for customers holding that warranty.
Where applicable, IKUISTA will assist in handling warranty claims with the component manufacturer.
6. PAINT AND FINISH WARRANTY
Covered
- Manufacturing defects in paint or clear coat
- Decal adhesion issues
- Premature flaking or peeling unrelated to external damage
Not covered
- Stone chips
- Abrasion from cables, bags, or accessories
- UV discolouration
- Scratches from washing, transport, or installation
- User-applied protective films and damage caused by their removal
7. WARRANTY CLAIM REQUIREMENTS
All warranty claims must include:
- Proof of purchase
- Product serial number
- Clear videos of the damage
- Description of use and circumstances
Additional requirements may apply. Structural claims require videos of the complete bicycle and the affected area. Component claims require confirmation of correct installation and torque.
IKUISTA reserves the right to require physical return of the product for inspection, and to withhold remedies where a bicycle is reported stolen or ownership cannot be verified, until ownership is resolved. Incomplete, improper, or fraudulent claims will be rejected.
8. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not cover damage resulting from:
Incorrect assembly or maintenance, including incorrect torque settings, installation of incompatible components, continued riding despite creaking, cracking, or abnormal noises, and riding with worn components that causes secondary damage. Where damage results from a lack of maintenance, the warranty is affected only to the extent that the missing maintenance caused or contributed to the damage.
Misuse, including jumps or drops exceeding intended use, stunt riding, collisions, cleaning with pressure washers, and riding in saltwater without proper cleaning.
Commercial use, including rental fleets, commercial tours, and courier or messenger services, unless explicitly approved in writing by IKUISTA.
9. MAINTENANCE AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
The customer is responsible for keeping the bicycle maintained, including correct torque and lubrication, timely replacement of worn components, using compatible parts, ensuring correct installation when fitting components independently, and inspecting the frame regularly for cracks or impact damage.
You may carry out maintenance yourself. IKUISTA does not require the use of an authorised service centre. We ask only that maintenance is documented, either in the service log on your IKUISTA account or with receipts for the parts you fit. This documentation may be requested when assessing a claim.
A lack of maintenance affects a claim only where it caused or contributed to the defect. It does not automatically void otherwise valid cover or your statutory rights.
10. REMEDIES
If a warranty claim is approved, IKUISTA will determine the appropriate remedy, which may include repair of the product, replacement of the product, supply of a functionally equivalent product, or a partial refund if repair or replacement is not possible. Cash refunds are provided only when required by applicable law.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
IKUISTA is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, damage resulting from misuse, unauthorised modifications, or damage caused by improper assembly or maintenance, except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This Warranty Policy is governed by Finnish law, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence.
Consumers may escalate disputes to the competent consumer dispute body in their country of residence. In Finland this is the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariitalautakunta). For cross-border disputes within the EU, the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net) provides free assistance.
