Valois Chainstay protector

€9,90

Description

Stops chain slap marking your frame

On rough roads and trails the chain bounces and strikes the chainstay. Over time that chips paint and clearcoat, and on a bare contact point it wears into the frame. The protector takes those strikes instead.

What this gives you:

  • A frame that keeps its finish where the chain hits
  • Quieter running, with the slap muffled
  • Protection at the one spot most frames get marked

Made for carbon and every frame

Carbon frames mark easily, and a chipped clearcoat is the kind of damage that spreads. TPU absorbs the chain impact and resists scratching, so the chainstay stays sound. It suits road, gravel and mountain frames alike.

What this gives you:

  • Cover for a carbon frame where it is most exposed
  • A fit on road, gravel and mountain bikes
  • More value on rough ground and on 1x, where chain slap is worst

Sticks on in a minute

The protector fixes on with a 3M adhesive backing. Clean the chainstay, peel the backing, and press it down. There is nothing to bolt and nothing to thread.

What this gives you:

  • A fit in a minute, with no tools
  • A choice of four colours to match the build
  • A clean, low-profile finish on the stay
